There are a number of things to consider when evaluating a person's overall level of safety. This is an ongoing process due to many potential factors. In situations where people are living independently their are often potential hazards that may develop over time or by season. ILS assists individuals by evaluating possible concerns and helping them resolve it through problem solving  or additional resources if necessary.

In Minnesota the winters can be especially challenging with the arrival of inclement weather that can pose problems for personal safety. We are committed to assisting consumers in limiting any possible risk by making sure that  all steps have been taken to resolve any issues in or outside their residence.

Advocacy

Advocacy may be the defining service that we provide to our consumers. We are interested in a goal oriented approach of having each consumer develop or expand their means of advocating for themselves when they encounter an issue. We also provide personal support and will take a more active role if the consumer needs more assistance.
